Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as an action plan for people, the planet, and prosperity
In 2015, the United Nations Summit on Sustainable Development, which was held at the United Nations Headquarters with the participation of the leaders of more than 150 member states, adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and laid out the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) consisting of 17 goals and 169 targets as an action plan for people, the planet, and prosperity. It declares that from 2015 to 2030, the planet and people will be committed to achieving various goals for sustainable development, including poverty, hunger, energy, climate change, and peaceful societies.
We believe that these development goals should be included in the overall CSR and environmental issues that the Daidoh Limited Group should address, and we are promoting Daidoh Engagement Activities through our core business as requirement issues to conform to, comply with, and implement the Compliance & Supply Chain Total Management System (*1) that our own factories have been implementing since 2002 and the Daidoh Supplier Code of Conduct (*2) that we have been asking our suppliers to acknowledge and agree to conform to and comply with since 2011. The Daidoh Limited Group will continue to promote initiatives while confirming the consistency between the SDGs and our environmental protection and CSR promotion activities.
